The Beginning

"Creation and the rise of the Angels. From the “Deeds of the Angels”

At the beginning, the world was a void and nothingness echoed in the deep vacuum of all that ever was, all that ever is, and all that ever will be. The Spirit of Good, I'fea'Quel, shun its light across the endless void and turned the nothingness into a new world, blessing it with the beauty of living things. Among these living things were humans, to whom he granted intelligence. Yet I'fea'Quel still felt lonely in his home of heaven. He noticed that there was still a bit of nothingness left echoing somewhere in the vast universe and he tapped at it: from that nothingness awoke the Dark Spirit, I'mori, who blew his malice across the realm, forming firey wastelands and breeding creatures of chaos.

Saddened by the turn of events, I'fea'Quel then shed a tear for his misdeed. The tear dropped into the world and gave form to a great archangel, Avengard. Light seemed to erupt anew, hope was given form and the world shook down to its very foundations. The creatures of chaos quailed with fear, for with Avengard, the days of chaos would not go uncontested. Of all the humans that were left alive, the archangel chose three: Aurayel, Ivan and Devon, whose deeds were about to change forever and shape the new world for eternity. In a holy event where the very forces of heaven were brought into play, Avengard gave the three great celestial powers, turning them into the very stuff he was made of. They became angelic beings, to help him safeguard the realm from the new chaosmaster and his servants.
And so it was by the dawn of The First Age the three Guardian Angels led by the Archangel cleansed the realm of all evil and kept I'mori's malice at bay.

Avengard now formed more alliances to help him fight I'mori, and so he invoked Mother Earth, the spirit of nature, also known as Monna-Gladis. She bred her own creatures, the elves. Mona’Gladis presented Avengard with a mighty stone. He tapped the stone, and thereby evoking another god, Sonn'Donnar. Sonn'Donnar forged a hammer that he sledged into the same stone from which Avengard tapped him, and out of it were born the dwarves. Avengard also invoked the Aether, and from that force of all magic was born the gnomes.
This is the tale of the ages, the tale that is known across the realm as The Beginning of Time, The First Age. By the end of the first age, civilization has well established itself.
