New players Information and Gameplay
The Uncharted Midlands: Last Gate is a realistically-designed social community-based heavy role-playing server, with a mature dedicated community. It is poised to be the defining element of hardcore role-playing. It is a very low-magic and very low-levels gameworld, featuring permadeath, crafting, and empowering players to build through the resources they gather. We're a one-of-a-kind design, made especially for players whose focus is role-playing and realism. We reward role-players in a variety of ways.
If you're tired from the lack of seriousness, lack of maturity, lack of realism and lack of community-oriented design aspect of MMORPG's, or the lack of role-playing focus and nonrealistic designs of other Neverwinter Nights gameworlds (or even MUD's) anywhere around the role-playing fantasy worlds, you've come to the right place. Here, you'll experience the highest level of role-play, immersion, dedication and talent. You'll be rewarded for good role-playing, and you'll feel like a part of a community right from the start as our unique plot will weave you in beautifully into our community and in-character gameworld. We welcome all role-players with open arms.

The citadel which this gameworld is based on is written about here.
Features list:
- Community-based
We've designed the gameworld to be social and community-based, players won't be "lost wandering" somewhere.
- Permadeath
Every character has only one life, and every player can only play one character at a time. No minor prints. We've included this for the sake of realism, since we take role-playing very seriously here, and a gameworld without permanent death spoils consistency. Without consistency, we can't expect believable role-play.
- Players-run gameworld
Players get to decide their own structure of government, policies and laws. They get to decide what to build, what to do, and how to shape the gameworld. Such decisions are often collective, and how important what you have to say may be determined by rank or status, or simply if your character has good logic that appeals to others.
- Unique Crafting System
A realistically-designed crafting system. You can create almost any item, from swords, to mugs to writing books in-game.
- Players-built structures (walls, houses, etc)
Unlike anywhere else, the players of this gameworld decide how to build and expand their citadel. After enough stone and lumber is gathered a decision needs to be made - a tower? a wall? a church? It's your decision as characters and as a collective community.
- Timed XP, RP XP via DM's and delegated players
There are many ways you can get experience points for good role-play, one of which is by Dungeon Masters who will observe your role-play and decide to reward you. The other is by delegated players (players Dungeon Masters find trustworthy) that can give you a small XP reward for good role-play. The third is by simply playing, and staying online, which will reward you a minimal amount every certain amount of time. In addition, creatures only provide the barest minimal amount of XP for slaying them.
- Very low levels & Very low-magic
This is a a very low-magic and a very low-levels design. While there is no set level cap, it's expected most players will be around levels 1-3, some reaching beyond 3, few reaching beyond 5.
- Continuously progressive plot and a dynamic gameworld
There are always things happening in the gameworld, whether you're online or not, things are in motion. Things may change. Your actions truly matter to these changes.
- Role-Player of the Week Award
Every week we there will be a vote on the best role-player of that month who will receive a reward.
